Chief Scientist (Health) for the Scottish Government and Regius Professor of Medicine at the University of Glasgow.
Professor Dominiczak is a world-leading cardiovascular scientist and clinical academic. She has published extensively in top peer-reviewed journals (over 500 publications, an h-index of 122). In March 2020, Anna led the establishment of Lighthouse Laboratory in Glasgow to provide rapid Covid–19 diagnostics, and then was asked to become Director of Laboratories at the UK Department of Health and Social Care to lead all 10 Lighthouse Laboratories across the UK, the role she fulfilled until 2022. In July 2022 Professor Dominiczak was appointed as Chief Scientist (Health) for the Scottish Government.
David works for the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government and leads the team responsible for delivering Scotland’s Digital Telecare, Shared Alarm Receiving Centre and Telecare Data programme’s. Prior to moving into this role, he was a Senior Manager with the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership for more than 10 years, providing senior level leadership to a portfolio of services including Community Equipment, Telecare and Citywide Supported Housing. David was also the Partnerships Lead Officer for Digital Telecare during this time.
With over thirty years’ experience working in frontline and strategic health and social care roles, Glenda recognises and is dedicated to the need for transformational change within the public sector. Ensuring that sustainable, efficacious, and resilient services continue to be developed is at the heart of her work within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership. With a track record of successful service transformation, Glenda has a particular interest and focus on the use of technology within social care services, and the need to capitalise on the digital revolution for the benefit of services and their users.
Karin Hill was the Director of Education and Public Programmes at the National Museum of the United States Navy before moving to Scotland 2013. Having worked on various projects of Fife Culture Trust, Karin joined the City of Edinburgh Council in 2017 and is now the Programme Manager for Projects, Performance and Insights at the City of Edinburgh Council. Karin uses her background in project management, public programming and strategic planning to help improve customer experience, promote innovation and drive the Council’s omni-channel ambitions.
Mark is a seasoned commercial and tech leader, having joined Amazon in 2007, with over 25 years of experience in mobile apps, voice, AI, content acquisition, ambient intelligence, film and TV, product development, and Internet of Things. He currently leads Alexa Enterprise UK at Amazon, where he helps enterprise customers to integrate Alexa AI services. He has a proven track record of launching and scaling innovative products and services, such as the Amazon Echo in UK. He is passionate to build and develop relationships with customers and strategic partners.
Ross joined the Scottish Government in 2000, initially in agriculture, moving to Digital Communications in 2007 covering the intranet and website, latterly as Web Manager for gov.scot. Ross moved to the Cloud First Programme within Digital Directorate as Product Manager in 2018. Ross also plays a leading role within the Cloud Community which has been established across the public sector in Scotland. The Cloud Platform Service provides the Scottish public sector simplified access to cloud technologies – find out more at www.gov.scot/cloud. The service now supports 19 customers with AWS and Azure environments.Â
Fiona is Planet's Senior Account Executive working with UK Civil Government accounts including Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, Welsh Government, DEFRA, Rural Payments Agency, Forest Research and many more. Planet's mission is to use space to improve life on earth, providing near-daily imagery at a global scale to address critical planetary challenges. Fiona supports her customers to meet their programme and policy objectives through the delivery of Planet's data, platform and services for Broad Area Management including Sustainable Farming Initiatives, Forest Monitoring, Land Use Monitoring, Water Quality Monitoring as well as intelligence and insights to support international humanitarian crises. Fiona has over 15 years experience working in the geospatial industry.

Andy Theedom is a Director at PwC and works with councils, health trusts social housing providers and charities across the UK. He is an advocate and leader in using technology to form more productive and trusting relationships between the public and public sector organisations. A former member of the techUK Local Public Services Committee, in 2023 he helped the first of many councils to release significant capacity and increase inclusion by deploying AI-powered voice and web chat solutions at scale on AWS.Â
David is a Director at PwC who works across national government, agencies, councils, health boards, charities and policing. David is based in Glasgow and focuses on our support in Scotland. David is experienced in supporting clients from design to implementation of change. He has a background of over fifteen years of experience in consulting. Before then he worked in local authorities and for a cancer charity.Â
Mark has spent almost 30 years working in pay TV, telecoms and deregulating energy markets in the UK, Ireland, Holland and North America for FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies. He joined Amazon in 2023 as Head of Operations, EMEA and leads Project Kuiper's deployment to customers across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Thomas Rysgaard Christiansen is the former CEO of KOMBIT. Inc. He spent the last 13 years overseeing the procurement and development of efficient, coherent, and user friendly IT-solutions for both the state and local government in Denmark. Thomas is a strong advocate of digitization and coherent digital development of the public sector. Thomas joined Netcompany in 2023 as International Market Development Partner. Thomas is Group responsible for our Digital Government vertical and leads the EU-Wallet project.
Anjan is a senior AI Architect and Evangelist with over two decades of industry experience. He is engaged in multiple NHS and public sector programs. He is passionate about leveraging his vast applied AI, automation and innovation experience in the commercial sector, for better efficiencies and improved outcomes in the public sector and healthcare area.
Mathew Smith previously worked in the private sector before making the move to the public sector in 2022. With over a decade of experience in developing workforce plans, Mathew has a passion for using technology to digest and analyse data to ensure the council has got the right people, in the right place at the right time.Â
Dinesh Kumar Subramani is a Senior Solutions Architect based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He specializes in Generative AI and machine learning, and is a member of the Machine Learning technical field community within Amazon. Dinesh works with customers across various industries to help them find innovative solutions to their challenges. Outside of work, Dinesh enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing chess, and exploring a diverse range of music.
Neil is an accomplished IT engineering professional with over 20 years of experience. As a 2x certified AWS Professional, he has developed deep expertise in designing and delivering on AWS, including application-centric solutions, robust cloud architectures, migration strategies, and DevOps toolchain implementations. Neil is also a proficient Python and JavaScript/TypeScript developer, leveraging frameworks like AWS CDK and AWS SDK to drive innovative cloud-native solutions.Â
